Jogli

I’ve been so erratic with the Byte these days. Sorry! I’ve just been so busy. But today I’m back with a fun tool:

Jogli: http://www.jogli.com/
It’s a music site. Search for someone and you can find them, their music and lyrics. I know there are a lot of these sort of tools out there. I found this one while updating the Blandin Broadband Toolkit: http://broadband.blandinfoundation.org/toolkit/ – but this is the first one I’ve ever visited that has all of my obscure UK bands from the 80’s. So it’s my fave!

Keyword Spy

I know I’ve been MIA for a while. Sorry! I just got too busy but the good news is that I think I have handle on things again. Today’s Byte of mostly for folks with commercial web sites or are thinking about buying keyword ads:

Keyword Spy: http://www.keywordspy.com

Type in the address of your main competitor and if they are buying keywords ads (the sponsored ads on the Google that often show up on the right), you can learn which keyword phrases, how much and what their resulting traffic is.

Even if you aren’t thinking about buying ads yourself this can be a good way to start on a list of keyword terms for your site.
