Holiday Coupon Tip

November 28, 2007 Leave a comment

Did you miss me last week? My email list tool was on the fritz. Sorry! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I have one quickie Byte today for anyone who might be doing some online shopping in the upcoming weeks. I have had excellent luck finding coupons for various products or shops by simply searching for one on Google. The coupon that I seek most often is for web space on GoDaddy. So whenever I place an order, I search for [godaddy coupon] and get what I want. I tried it with [American Girl Doll coupon] with middling luck – but in the process I ran into lots of other good codes.

MyContactForm

I thought I had mentioned this tool before but apparently not. I love this new tool for building contact forms:

MyContantForm http://www.mycontactform.com

This is a free tool that will build a contact form that you can paste into your web site. So, what wouldn’t you just code a form? Well here are the things I like about MyContactForm:

• It filters out a lot of spam. Forms get a lot of spam these days.
• It sends an automated response to the sender. You can customize the message and the sender address.
• It’s server neutral. So you don’t have to worry about what type of server or code support is available on the server.
• It sends the form response to a specified address and saves it on a web site where you can access old responses and download them as a spreadsheet.

As I said the tool is free, however you can upgrade cheaply; I think it’s $50 a year. An upgrade buys you more capacity to receive responses and some other features.

Nov 8 World Usability Day

Tomorrow is World Usability Day. The theme this year is health care. I know almost nothing about health care usability and I’m actually at a conference in St Cloud (MN) this week but I’m hoping that they archive the events so that I can read up on it later.

To celebrate:
